Our day started out like all others in 5th grade. In Mrs. Truby's class for morning work we had a worksheet about single cell organisms. After that we went to Music and P.E. In music we finished watching Seussical, the play we are performing this spring. In P.E. as a warm-up, we had to run 4 laps and Ike did them with us. After that we did 30 sit-ups. We finished sit-ups and we jumped rope. We had to run though the ropes, then we had to jump and touch the ground and run out again. That was hard. Eventually we just jumped and ran out without touching the ground. We were very tired after P.E.
After P.E. we came back to our room and called off work and had snack. Next we read 3 chapters in Chasing Vermeer. It is a great book. After we finished reading it, it was time for band and study hall. I am in study hall. We finished Chasing Vermeer during that time. It had a great finale. It was about a Vermeer painting that was stolen. After band and study hall, we had lunch and recess. For lunch it was like a stew. It was really runny and chunky. At recess we played a game called Fish Out Of Water. It snowed and was really windy which made it colder. We came back in and checked D.O.L., Daily Oral Language. After we finished and did 2 presentations, we read a few mystery stories. Finally we went to library and then the day was over. We had a fun day.
